Tis’ the Season to Support Local Charities
- Glasdon Charitable Giving Committee
- 19 Dec 2019
Each year, Glasdon staff replace sending a Company Christmas Card with a generous donation to two local charities.
Regularly supporting charitable giving, Glasdon recognises the importance of donations and the difference they can make, especially over the festive period.
The charities chosen; Streetlife Trust and Amazing Graze Soup Kitchen will each receive a company donation.
Streetlife Trust is a charity that provides support, shelter and direction to help vulnerable young people find their way. Many who access the service are homeless and in need of emergency accommodation. Streetlife provides shelter for those who need it, as well as offering drop-in sessions for advice and support, as well as Lifeskills sessions.
Amazing Graze Soup Kitchen provides a service to the homeless and less fortunate people in and around Blackpool.
AG Café developed out of a need to support struggling individuals and families in Blackpool, and since opening in 2014 has grown from serving 30 meals a week to between 300-400 meals a week. Meals are served by volunteer waiters, and they also provide guests with musical entertainment as well as a listening ear.
Both charities rely heavily on volunteers and donations to continue to provide their vital services and support.
The Glasdon Group Charitable Giving Committee kindly added to the donation amount.
We hope the donations can make a small difference for two charities that make such a huge difference to the local community.
