MacMillan Coffee Morning 2024

Supporting people with cancer since the early 90’s.

First held in 1990, Coffee Morning has become a staple of Macmillan Cancer Support and a recurring annual mainstay for households, schools, community groups, and businesses of all sizes. Since its foundation, the national event has been held yearly on the 27th of September and has grown to become Macmillan’s biggest fundraiser. It unites millions in the common cause of raising vital funds to help support people in the UK afflicted by cancer.

In 2023, Coffee Morning helped raise over £18 million across the whole of the UK.

Next to traditional get togethers, Macmillan Coffee Morning has taken many forms, including kitchen discos, chai afternoon teas, and even wild swimming cake baking. All people have to do is register, and Macmillan Cancer Support will send a free fundraising kit which includes bunting, balloons, and a tablecloth, alongside recipes and a collection box.

Glasdon was one of the many businesses that hosted a Coffee Morning. Several departments took part by providing scrumptious home-baked goodies from brownies and cakes to Latvian Žagarini. Staff managed to raise a total of £186 which Glasdon has agreed to round up to a £400 donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.
