Hat-Trick! A Third Year In Support Of The EAFA Juniors

Nothing can put these fearless youngsters offside.

Why should amputees or those with limb affecting disabilities not take part in a good old football match?

That idea lies at the core of The England Amputee Football Association (EAFA), an organisation that has dedicated themselves to providing opportunities for less-able players to get out on the field.

This entirely volunteer-run club organises regular training camps and matches throughout the year, allowing juniors to play football with their peers in a safe and supportive environment. With over 50 children actively registered on the program, the group offers opportunities like overseas trips to compete against other teams, and online community sessions with quizzes and home exercises.

The EAFA have seen no shortage of success – just recently the women’s team took by storm the first ever Women’s Amputee Football World Cup, coming second in their group and reaching the quarter finals! That’s no doubt an inspiring story for the juniors, many of whom aspire to play in professional leagues themselves.

For the third year running, The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme are proud to be sponsoring the EAFA Junior Programme. Our donation of £15,000 will support the charity for the upcoming year, helping fund camps, trips, and matches for these audacious adolescents.
