The Evergrowing Pursuit to Give Back to the Community

In 2021, we took our charitable giving and community outreach work to new heights through the re-branding of our Glasdon Charitable Giving Committee and the launch of The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme.

Now entering its second year, The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to social responsibility by welcoming a whole host of charities and non-profit organisations to apply for funding, which has provided them with vital donations and aid to ensure their fantastic work continues.

Forming the programme has allowed us to vastly improve our charitable enterprise, meaning we can donate, participate and gift more to those who support the betterment of the environment and the relief for those in need because of youth, age, ill health, disability or financial hardship.

Over the past 12 months, The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme made donations to 179 organisations, totalling £252,000 worth of funding.

A large proportion of our donations were received by charities that focus on providing social support to individuals in their surrounding communities. Charities like Faith in the Community, whose project The Pantry offers hot meals and social respite to the people of Fleetwood who are facing difficult financial times following redundancy or debt.

Meanwhile, our funding also benefited individuals suffering from life-impairing physical and mental illnesses. Charities like TramShed, an inclusive Blackpool based theatre company that offers the chance to celebrate music, dance and drama with members living with a disability.

We look forward to taking the programme into the new year, working closely with more worthwhile charities, developing existing relationships with our close friends, and assisting in making our surrounding communities and beyond a better place for those who need it most.

The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme provides support for charities and community projects with donations, grants and fundraising initiatives. All activities are funded by Glasdon Group Limited, with the full support of our Founder and Chairman, Donald J Sidebottom MBE, FCIHT and the Board of Directors.
