Helping Hearts

A helping heart can go a long way for those who need it

Founded in 2020, Helping Hearts Fylde is a recently registered charity providing weekly outreach services to people sleeping rough or at risk of becoming homeless. Its main objective is to make sure no one goes hungry, no matter their circumstances or background.

Helping Heart’s outreach service operates within Blackpool Town Centre every Thursday. From its humble beginnings of volunteers walking the streets of Blackpool offering food, drink, and essentials to those who needed it the most, the charity now consistently supports over 100 people and their families each week, a number that has increased from an initial 50 per week, due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Not only does Helping Hearts provide hot nutritious meals, it also delivers life-saving equipment such as sleeping bags, bivvy bags, and more, alongside clothing and food parcels. The charity has long relied on donations to continue providing its services to the community.
