Blackpool Children’s Clothing Fund

Glasdon continues to support Blackpool Children’s Clothing Fund.

For many years the D J Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme has shown its support for the Blackpool Children’s Clothing Fund via annual donations.

Set up in 1903, by Alan Rydeheard, a friend of Glasdon founder Donald Sidebottom, the fund delivers vital community aid via the provision of school uniforms and footwear to children attending schools in Blackpool. The fund has also continued to support children of refugees and asylum seekers providing them with a substantial number of resources.

Having applied for different grants throughout the years, the Fund’s trustees struggle to fit the criteria that would have to be met to warrant a donation. Being only three in number, the trustees are also limited by any activities to raise funds themselves.

The D J Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme has provided Blackpool Children’s Clothing Fund with a substantial donation and intends to review its ongoing donations on an annual basis.

The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme provides support for charities and community projects with donations, grants and fundraising initiatives. All activities are funded by Glasdon Group Limited, with the full support of our Founder and Chairman, Donald J Sidebottom MBE, FCIHT and the Board of Directors. Applications for grants and support can be made on our grant application page.
